Missing Systems
You probably noticed a few missing systems like the game.com, Bally
Astrocade, CD-i, etc.. since this article was already too long I have those
in a follow-up piece called Closing Time: From
the Floor of Grif's Tavern which is dedicated to some of the more
obscure consoles produced. The only system I'd like to add to this page is the Colecovision but I
can't find anything that points to what the last release was.
Anything not listed here or on Grif's Tavern
should be filed under the "not relevant"
category. This would include semi-educational cartridge-based systems aimed
at kids, computers
marketed as game machines (Atari, Sega, NEC, and Commodore all made things like
that), and several other handhelds that didn't break into mainstream retail.
